Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) govern your use of the Nature Perspectives web application (the “App”), available at app.natureperspectives.earth. The App is designed to foster meaningful connections between humans and the natural world through AI-driven conversations with simulations of natural entities.

Please read these Terms carefully before creating your account and/or using the application.

The App is owned and operated by Nature Perspectives Ltd, a company incorporated in England and Wales, with its registered office at 41 Westcliff House, London, N1 3HS, United Kingdom (“Nature Perspectives”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).

These Terms apply to all users of the App. By creating an account and/or using the App, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms in their entirety. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not create an account or use the App.

1. About the App and Our Services

The Nature Perspectives App is an AI-driven experience designed to explore the potential of conversational simulations in fostering meaningful connections between humans and the natural world. Through the App, users may engage with AI-simulated perspectives from nature — including those of animals, plants, ecosystems, and natural phenomena — with the aim of enhancing empathy with and understanding of the natural world, supporting environmental education and awareness, contributing to research on the effectiveness of AI-driven nature interactions and providing a reflective and immersive experience for personal, academic, commercial or professional use.

The App uses large language model (LLM) based artificial intelligence to generate the simulated perspectives you encounter. While we endeavour to make these simulations engaging, informative and accurate, you acknowledge and understand that:

  • the simulations are AI-generated and may contain errors, inaccuracies or content that does not reflect scientific consensus;
  • content generated by the App does not constitute scientific, environmental, medical or professional advice of any kind; and
  • the capabilities and outputs of the App may change as the underlying AI technology is updated or improved.

We may from time-to-time update, expand, limit, suspend or withdraw features of the App. Where material changes are made that significantly affect your use of the App, we will notify you through the App or by email where reasonably practicable.

While we aim to keep the App available, we do not guarantee continuous, uninterrupted or error-free operation, and the App may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, upgrades, or for reasons outside our control. We do not provide any specific service levels or uptime commitments unless expressly agreed in writing with you.

2. Eligibility and Account Registration

2.1 Children and Young Users

Children below the age of 16 years may only use the app with the involvement, permission and supervision of a parent, legal guardian, teacher or other authorised adult. If you are below 16 years of age, you confirm that you have obtained the consent of a parent or legal guardian before registering, and that your parent or guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

If we become aware that a user under 16 years has registered without verifiable parental consent, we reserve the right to delete that account and any associated data. If any person believes a child under 16 years has registered to the App without the consent or supervision of a parent or legal guardian, please contact us at hello@natureperspectives.earth.

2.2 Parent, Guardian and Adult Facilitator Responsibility

If you create, approve or permit the use of an account by a child, or if you facilitate a child’s use of the App in an educational, cultural or institutional setting, you are responsible for:

  • ensuring that the child uses the App in accordance with these Terms;
  • supervising the child’s use of the App in a manner appropriate to the child’s age, maturity and setting;
  • ensuring that the child does not submit personal, sensitive or confidential information about themselves or others;
  • explaining to the child, in an age-appropriate way, that the App uses AI-generated simulations and that the simulations are not real animals, plants, ecosystems, people or professional advisers; and
  • ensuring that any required parental permissions, consents or institutional approvals have been obtained.

Nothing in these Terms limits any rights that children, parents or guardians may have under applicable law.

2.3 Registration Information

When you create an account, you will be asked to provide:

  • your name;
  • your age or date of birth;

Additionally, you may be asked to provide

  • your email address;
  • your gender;
  • your country of residence;

Or other similar information

You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information at registration and to keep your account details updated. We rely on the information you provide to personalise your experience and, where applicable, to comply with our data protection obligations.

2.4 Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. You agree not to share your account details with any third party and to notify us immediately at hello@natureperspectives.earth if you suspect any unauthorised access to or use of your account. We are not liable for any loss arising from your failure to maintain account security.

2.5 One Account Per User

You may only maintain one registered account at any time. You may not create accounts on behalf of third parties without their express authorisation.

2.6 Distribution Platforms (App Stores)

The App may be made available through third-party app stores or distribution platforms (such as Apple App Store or Google Play). Your download, installation and use of the App shall be subject to the terms and conditions and privacy policies of those third parties, in addition to these Terms. Those third parties are not a party to these Terms and have no obligation to provide any maintenance or support in respect of the App, unless required under their own terms.

2.7 Fees and Subscriptions

Access to the App and certain features may be contingent upon payment of subscription fees or other charges, in accordance with our then-current pricing and subscription terms as set out within the App or on our website from time to time (the “Subscription Terms“).

The Subscription Terms will describe the applicable fees, billing cycles, renewal and cancellation rules and any additional conditions that apply to your chosen plan. By starting a paid subscription or making any in-app purchase, you agree to the Subscription Terms in force at the time of your order, including any applicable refund or cooling-off rules under local consumer protection law.

Where subscriptions or purchases are processed through an app store or other third-party platform, billing, renewals and cancellation may also be governed by that platform’s terms and policies. In such cases, you should review the relevant platform’s terms for details of how to manage or cancel your subscription and any applicable refund rights.

3. Acceptable Use

You may use the App only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree that you will not:

3.1 Unlawful and Harmful Conduct

  • use the App in any way that violates any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation;
  • use the App to generate, transmit or distribute content that is unlawful, defamatory, discriminatory, obscene, offensive, harassing or otherwise objectionable;
  • impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or organisation; or
  • use the App to threaten, abuse, stalk, harass or harm any other person.

3.2 Platform Integrity

  • attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise derive the source code of the App or its underlying AI models;
  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the App, its servers, or any connected systems or networks;
  • introduce viruses, malware, or any other harmful code into the App;
  • use automated tools, robots, spiders, or scrapers to access or extract data from the App, except where expressly permitted by us in writing; or
  • overload, flood, or otherwise impair the proper operation of the App’s infrastructure.

3.3 Data and Privacy

  • attempt to extract or collect personal data of other users through your use of the App;
  • solicit personal information from the AI simulations in a manner designed to obtain data about real individuals; or
  • submit false, inaccurate, or misleading personal data during registration or in the course of using the App.

3.4 Intellectual Property and Competition

  • use the App’s outputs, content, or underlying methodology to develop a competing product or service;
  • use the App to train, fine-tune, or benchmark any artificial intelligence or machine learning model without our prior written consent;
  • reproduce, redistribute, publish, or commercially exploit any App-generated content without our prior written permission; or
  • remove, alter, or obscure any copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices on or within the App.

3.5 Consequences of Breach – Suspension, Takedown and Cooperation

We reserve the right to suspend or permanently terminate your access to the App at any time, without prior notice or liability, if you breach any provision of this Clause 3 or otherwise misuse the App or use the App for unlawful purposes. In addition, we may at our discretion remove, disable access to, or refuse to display any User Content or AI‑generated output where we reasonably believe it breaches these Terms or applicable law, or risks harm to other users or to third parties. We may also report your conduct to relevant law enforcement or regulatory authorities where required or appropriate, including filing appropriate claims for damages.

4. AI Interactions — Specific Terms

4.1 Nature of AI-Generated Content

You acknowledge that the perspectives, responses, and content generated through the App are produced by artificial intelligence and do not represent the views, opinions or statements of Nature Perspectives, its employees or its affiliates. All AI-generated content is simulated and is not intended to constitute scientific fact, professional advice or an accurate representation of animal/plant behaviour, biological processes or ecosystem dynamics. You agree to engage with App content critically and with awareness of the inherent limitations of AI-generated outputs.

4.2 No Harmful Prompting

You agree not to deliberately prompt the AI simulations to generate content that is harmful, offensive or misleading; that promotes illegal activities; or that is designed to circumvent or manipulate the App’s safety measures. We reserve the right to monitor interactions for compliance and to take appropriate action, including account suspension, where this clause is breached.

4.3 Research and Educational Use

Where you use the App for academic research, educational, or professional purposes, you remain solely responsible for the accuracy and suitability of any content derived from your use. Nature Perspectives accepts no responsibility for outcomes arising from reliance on App-generated content in research, educational or professional contexts.

5. Intellectual Property

5.1 Our Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights in the App and its content — including the AI models, simulations, software, design, graphics, text, audiovisual content, artworks, research methodologies, underlying technology, and any other content on the App — are owned by or licensed to Nature Perspectives Ltd. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right, title or interest in these materials beyond what is expressly permitted for your personal use of the App.

5.2 Your Content and Licence Grant

You retain ownership of the content you personally input into the App, including the text of your messages and queries (your “User Content”). By using the App, you grant Nature Perspectives Ltd a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, process, store, and analyse your anonymised or aggregated User Content (including together with associated interaction data and metadata) for the following purposes:

  • to provide and operate the App and its features;
  • to personalise your in-App experience;
  • to improve and develop the App and its underlying AI models, including for current and future paid or subscription-based services;
  • for academic and scientific research; and
  • to generate aggregated, anonymised analyses, metrics and insights about how the App is used, which we may use internally and share externally, including with commercial and research partners and collaborators.

We will not use your identifiable User Content in outward-facing commercial materials such as marketing, testimonials or named case studies unless we have obtained separate, explicit consent from you for that specific use.

5.3 Anonymised and Aggregated Interaction Data

We may generate, collect and derive data and information from your interactions with the App, including conversation transcripts, prompts, responses, interaction patterns, outcomes, session length and frequency of use (“Interaction Data”). We will apply technical and organisational measures to anonymise and aggregate Interaction Data and User Content in a manner that removes personal identifiers and is intended to prevent the data from being linked back to you as an identifiable individual, using methods consistent with applicable data protection guidance.

All such anonymised and aggregated data sets and derived outputs are owned by Nature Perspectives Ltd and may be used, shared, licensed and published by us for research, development, academic and commercial purposes without restriction. This includes, for example, providing commercial analytics or impact reports, improving and training models that power paid services, developing new products and features, and sharing high-level, anonymised insights with partners and collaborators.

We do not attempt to re-identify users from anonymised or aggregated datasets except in case the user requests deletion of their data. We do not permit our partners, collaborators or clients to re-identify users from anonymised or aggregated datasets.

5.4 Revoking Consent

You may withdraw any consent you have given to the use of your identifiable User Content and Interaction Data for research, development or advanced analytics at any time by contacting us at hello@natureperspectives.earth or through any available in-App settings.

Where you withdraw consent, we will stop using your data for the consent-based research or analytics purposes going forward. This will not affect:

  • processing that is necessary for providing and operating the App, security, or compliance with our legal obligations, which we may continue on other lawful bases; or
  • any anonymised and aggregated data or derived outputs that were already created before your withdrawal of consent, as those data sets no longer relate to you as an identifiable individual and cannot reasonably be removed.

6. Privacy and Data Protection

Our collection, use and other processing of your personal data in connection with the App are described in our separate Privacy Policy related to the App, as updated from time to time. The App Privacy Policy forms an integral part of, and is incorporated by reference into, these Terms of Use. By using the App, you acknowledge that you have read the App Privacy Policy and agree that we will handle your personal data in accordance with it.

7. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

7.1 App Provided “As Is”

The App and all content generated through it are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We make no representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, completeness, reliability, or suitability of the App or its AI-generated content. In particular, we do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted or error-free; that AI-generated simulations will be scientifically accurate or factually correct; or that the App will meet your specific requirements.

7.2 Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Nature Perspectives Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss or damage, including loss of profits, data, goodwill, or opportunity — arising out of or in connection with your use of or inability to use the App, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such loss.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under applicable law.

7.3 User Responsibility

You are solely responsible for your interactions with the App and for any content you input. We accept no liability for any harm or loss arising from your reliance on AI-generated content, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any applicable law in connection with your use of the App.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Nature Perspectives Ltd and its directors, officers, employees, agents, licensors, and service providers from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in connection with: your use of or access to the App; your breach of any provision of these Terms; your violation of any applicable law or the rights of any third party; or any User Content you input into the App.

9. Suspension and Termination

9.1 Termination by You

You may close your account and stop using the App at any time. Your registration data will be removed within a reasonable period, subject to any legal retention obligations. Anonymised and aggregated data derived from your use of the App will be retained, subject to the terms herein.

9.2 Suspension or Termination by Us

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms; your use poses a risk to other users or to the App’s security or integrity or we are required to do so by law. In cases of serious or repeated breach, we may permanently ban re-registration.

9.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination, all rights granted to you under these Terms shall immediately cease.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. Where changes are material, for example, where we introduce new data processing purposes or significantly change your rights, we will notify you through the App or by email where reasonably practicable. Your continued use of the App after the effective date of the revised Terms constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not accept the updated Terms, you must stop using the App and may request deletion of your account.

11. Links to Third-Party Services

The App may contain links or references to third-party websites, platforms, or resources. These are provided for convenience only. We do not control, and are not responsible for, the content, privacy practices, or security of any third-party services. Accessing third-party links from within the App is at your own risk.

12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or your use of the App (including non-contractual disputes or claims) shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any such dispute or claim.

13. General Provisions

13.1 Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our App Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Nature Perspectives Ltd regarding your use of the App and supersede all prior agreements or understandings.

13.2 Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable or invalid, it shall be limited or severed to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force.

13.3 No Waiver

Our failure to enforce any right or provision shall not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.

13.4 Assignment

You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign our rights without restriction.

Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Nature Perspectives Ltd collects, uses, and otherwise processes your personal data when you use the Nature Perspectives web application (the “App”) and related services, or otherwise interact with us in connection with the App. This Privacy Policy forms an integral part of and is incorporated by reference into the Web Application’s Terms of Use (the “Terms”) and should be read alongside those Terms.

For data protection purposes, Nature Perspectives Ltd, a company incorporated in England and Wales with its registered office at 41 Westcliff House, London, N1 3HS, United Kingdom (“Nature Perspectives”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), is the controller of your personal data processed in connection with the App.

If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy or how we use your personal data, please contact us at hello@natureperspectives.earth.

1. THE PERSONAL DATA WE COLLECT

The personal data we collect through or in connection with the App falls into the following categories.

1.1 Information you provide directly

When you register, we collect your name and your age or date of birth. We may additionally ask for your email address, gender, and country of residence, or other similar information.

When you interact with the App’s AI-driven simulations (your “User Content”), we collect the text you type or otherwise input, as well as the responses generated through the App. If you contact us by email or through any in-App mechanism, we collect the content of your message, your contact details, and any additional information you choose to share, together with our replies and ongoing correspondence.

If you access paid features, subscriptions or in-App purchases, we may collect and process information about your subscription plan, transaction status, billing cycle, renewal or cancellation status, receipts, app-store or payment-provider identifiers, and related support information. Payment details may be processed by third party app stores, payment providers or other platforms, under their own terms and privacy policies which may be applicable.

1.2 Information we collect automatically when you use the App

When you use the App, we may automatically collect certain technical and usage information, such as your device type, operating system and App version; approximate geographic region inferred from your IP address; timestamps and duration of sessions, screens viewed, navigation events and features used; and error, crash and performance diagnostics.

We may collect this information using software development kits (SDKs), analytics services and similar technologies within the App, in a manner broadly analogous to cookies and similar technologies used on websites.

1.3 Information derived from your interactions

We may generate, collect and derive additional data and signals from your interactions with the App (“Interaction Data”), such as anonymised conversation transcripts, prompts, responses, interaction patterns, session length and frequency of use. This may include:

  • patterns in how you use the App over time (for eg. frequency and length of sessions, typical sessions through exercises or dialogues, and completion of particular in-App experiences);
  • high-level indicators or markers associated with particular simulations or exercises (for example, completion markers or in-App reflection indicators); and
  • aggregated statistics about prompts, themes or topics that users commonly explore, at an anonymised level.

1.4 Information from partners or public sources

We may receive limited information about you from partners, collaborators or publicly available sources.

2. HOW AND WHY WE USE YOUR PERSONAL DATA

2.1 To provide, operate and support the App

  • creating and managing your user account or subscription;
  • delivering the core App functionality, including generating and presenting AI-driven interactions based on your inputs; and
  • providing in-App support and responding to your requests.

2.2 To run, maintain and improve the App, and develop new features

We use technical, usage and Interaction Data to:

  • ensure the App works properly on different devices and operating systems;
  • understand how people find, use and navigate the App, and which features are most engaging;
  • monitor performance, detect and fix errors, and maintain security;
  • test, refine and improve our AI models and in-App experiences over time; and
  • design, test and roll out new or enhanced features and subscription offerings.

2.3 Research and analytics (including commercial use, while maintaining anonymity)

We use User Content and Interaction Data, together with analytics data, to:

  • conduct research into AI-driven nature interactions, nature-based empathy and related themes;
  • evaluate and demonstrate the impact and effectiveness of the App (for example, at an anonymised, aggregated level for partners or funders);
  • generate high-level, anonymised metrics, analyses, benchmarks and insights about how the App is used, which we may use internally and share externally with academic, non-profit and commercial partners and collaborators; and
  • train and refine models, systems and tools that may underpin both free and paid or subscription versions of the App and related services.

Where we use identifiable User Content or Interaction Data for research or advanced analytics that is not strictly necessary to provide the App, we will do so on the basis of your consent (which can be withdrawn — see clause 7.2 below). For certain low-risk analytics that are closely tied to App improvement and are within users’ reasonable expectations, we may rely on our legitimate interests as described in clause 2.2 above.

2.4 Communications

We may use your contact details to:

  • respond to your messages, feedback and support requests;
  • send important service-related communications (for example, changes to the Terms or this Privacy Policy, security notices, or information about core App functionality); and
  • where permitted, send optional updates about new features, pilots or offerings related to the App that we think may interest you.

2.5 Legal and regulatory obligations

We may use and retain your information where we consider it necessary to:

  • comply with applicable legal, regulatory or tax requirements;
  • respond to lawful requests from regulators, courts or law-enforcement authorities; and
  • establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

3. ANONYMISED AND AGGREGATED DATA

We apply technical and organisational measures to anonymise and aggregate User Content, Interaction Data and analytics so that they no longer relate to an identified or identifiable individual. We use methods consistent with applicable data protection regulations.

Once data has been robustly anonymised and aggregated, it is no longer considered personal data under UK data protection law. We may use, share, license and publish such anonymised and aggregated datasets and derived outputs for research, development, academic and commercial purposes without restriction.

We do not attempt to re-identify users from anonymised or aggregated and we do not permit our partners, collaborators or clients to do so.

Because anonymised data no longer relates to you as an identifiable individual, statutory data-subject rights (such as access, rectification, erasure and objection) do not apply to that anonymised data.

4. COOKIES, SDKs AND SIMILAR TECHNOLOGIES IN THE APP

The App may use software development kits (SDKs), analytics tools and similar technologies to support core App functions, remember certain preferences and help us understand how people use the App, in a way similar to how cookies operate on websites.

Where required by law, we will seek your consent (for example, through in-App prompts or operating-system permissions) before enabling non-essential analytics or tracking technologies. You can usually manage certain permissions or identifiers via your device settings, although disabling some technologies may affect how the App works on your device.

5. WHO WE MAY SHARE YOUR PERSONAL DATA WITH

All sharing of personal data described in this clause takes place within the lawful bases set out in clause 2 above. We may share personal data, where appropriate, with the following categories of recipients:

  • Service providers who help us operate, host and secure the App and related services (for example, cloud-hosting providers, AI model providers, analytics services, customer-support tools, email delivery platforms, app stores and payment providers). These service providers act on our instructions and are bound by contractual obligations to protect your data.
  • Professional advisers (such as lawyers or accountants) where reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.
  • Research and commercial partners and collaborators (anonymised data), we share anonymised and aggregated data and derived outputs with research institutions, NGOs, academic collaborators, funders and commercial partners for the purposes described above. Because this data no longer relates to an identified or identifiable individual, it is not personal data and no separate consent is required for such sharing.
  • Research and commercial partners and collaborators (identifiable data), where, exceptionally, we share identifiable User Content or Interaction Data with research or commercial partners in connection with a specific pilot, study or collaboration that you participate in or contact us about, we will do so only on the basis of your prior consent as described in clause 2.3 above. You may withdraw that consent at any time in accordance with clause 7.2.
  • Authorities or other third parties if we are required to do so by law, or if we reasonably consider it necessary to protect our rights or those of others (for example, regulators, law-enforcement bodies, courts or dispute-resolution bodies).
  • Successors in business in the event of a sale, merger, acquisition or other corporate restructuring involving Nature Perspectives, in which case your personal data may be transferred to the relevant acquiring entity, subject to the same protections described in this Privacy Policy.

6. INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS

Because our work and collaborations may involve partners and service providers in different countries, some recipients of personal data may be located outside the United Kingdom. Where we transfer personal data internationally, we take steps to ensure that an adequate level of protection is provided in line with UK data-protection law or relying on other lawful transfer mechanisms recognised under the UK GDPR.

7. HOW LONG WE KEEP YOUR PERSONAL DATA AND YOUR CHOICES

7.1 Retention

We keep personal data only for as long as we reasonably need it for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including for any legal, regulatory or reporting requirements. In practice, this typically means that:

  • account, subscription and core usage data are kept for as long as you have an active account and for a reasonable period afterwards (for example, to deal with queries or reactivation), unless you request earlier deletion where applicable;
  • support and correspondence data are kept for as long as we are actively in touch with you and for a reasonable period afterwards in case of follow-up questions, new opportunities or record-keeping needs;
  • technical and analytics data are kept for short periods useful for understanding trends and maintaining security, after which they are either deleted or anonymised; and
  • where we have created anonymised and aggregated datasets, we may retain and use these without time limit (see clause 3 above).

7.2 REVOKING CONSENT FOR IDENTIFIABLE RESEARCH AND ANALYTICS

Where we rely on your consent to use your identifiable User Content or Interaction Data for research or advanced analytics, you may withdraw that consent at any time by contacting us at hello@natureperspectives.earth or via any in-App mechanism we make available.

If you withdraw consent, we will stop using your identifiable data for those consent-based purposes going forward. This will not affect:

  • processing that is necessary to provide and operate the App, ensure security or comply with our legal obligations, which we may continue on other lawful bases; or
  • any anonymised and aggregated datasets or derived outputs that were already created before your withdrawal of consent, because those data no longer relate to you as an identifiable individual and cannot reasonably be un-linked or removed.

8. YOUR DATA-PROTECTION RIGHTS

Under UK data-protection law, and subject to certain conditions and exceptions, you may have the following rights:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you and receive a copy.
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete personal data.
  • Delete your personal data in certain circumstances (the “right to erasure”).
  • Restrict how we use your personal data in certain cases.
  • Object to our use of your personal data where we rely on legitimate interests, including for certain types of profiling or analytics.
  • Receive your personal data in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format where technically feasible and we process it on the basis of consent or contract.
  • Withdraw consent to use your personal data at any time.

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at hello@natureperspectives.earth. We may need to verify your identity before responding, consistent with applicable data-protection law.

9. YOUR RIGHT TO COMPLAIN

If you have concerns about how we handle your personal data, we encourage you to contact us first at hello@natureperspectives.earth so that we can try to resolve your concern. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data-protection supervisory authority. In the United Kingdom, this is the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), which provides UK GDPR guidance and contact details on its website at ico.org.uk. If you have any concerns, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with the ICO.

10. CHILDREN

Children below the age of 16 years may only use the App with the involvement, permission and supervision of a parent, legal guardian, teacher or other authorised adult, as set out in the Terms.

We do not knowingly collect personal data directly from children under 16 years of age, without appropriate parental or guardian consent. If we become aware that we have collected personal data from a child under 16 without verifiable parental consent, we will take steps to delete that data. If you believe a child under 16 has registered or submitted personal data without appropriate consent or supervision, please contact us at hello@natureperspectives.earth.

11. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example to reflect changes in how we use personal data or in applicable law. We will post any changes within the App and update the “Last updated” date below. Where changes are material, for example, where we introduce new data-processing purposes or significantly affect your rights, we will notify you through the App or by email where reasonably practicable. Your continued use of the App after the effective date of revision constitutes acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy. If you do not accept the updated Privacy Policy, you must stop using the App and may request deletion of your account.

12. LINKS TO THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

The App may contain links or references to third-party websites, platforms or resources. These are provided for convenience only. We do not control, and are not responsible for, the content, privacy practices or security of any third-party services. Accessing third-party links from within the App is at your own risk.

Where the App is made available through a third-party app store or distribution platform (such as Apple App Store or Google Play), your download, installation and use of the App will also be subject to that platform’s privacy policy and terms. Those platforms are independent data controllers in respect of any data they collect from you.

13. GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTION

This Privacy Policy and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with it (including non-contractual disputes or claims) shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any such dispute or claim.
